Some Changes To My Blog

I have been writing a blog on one platform or another for about a decade now which, when I think about it, is quite impressive and scary. The readership of my blog continues to inspire me to write and I’m really pleased to engage with an equal mix of believers and non-believers in a range of subjects…

As you may know, the blog is just one of many aspects of what I do as a paranormal researcher. I actually research and investigate cases, I host and produce The Spooktator podcast, I write this blog, I offer advice and opinions to various media outlets, deliver public talks, and more. All of this is done in my spare time around my actual job and studying towards my Psychology degree.

I have a Patreon page which has been active for some time but I haven’t really promoted it too much on this blog. However, WordPress users now have the option to integrate Patreon with their WordPress sites and this means there will be some changes to this blog.

What will the changes be?

If you support my work on Patreon, one of the rewards you can receive (for as little as $3 a month) is access to exclusive blog previews. Up until now, these previews have happened away from the blog entirely. From now on, though, they’ll be available here on the blog.

What does this mean?

It means that people who don’t support the blog on Patreon will see a post title and artwork but will not be able to read the blog post itself until it is released post-preview. Previews are usually exclusive to Patreon supporters for at least 3 days. Non-Patreon supporters will eventually be able to see the posts unless I decide to keep them as exclusive content (which has previously happened. There are whole blog posts that only my Patreon supporters have ever seen!)

What does this mean?

All of the things that I do which centre around the subjects written about on this blog need funding. I’m not going to beat around the bush – the more people who sign up to support me via Patreon = the more on-site research I can conduct and write about. Your support will also help to pay for hosting costs and similar.

Please consider signing up as a Patreon supporter today and in return you can gain access to a plethora of cool rewards, including blog previews, hang-outs with me, and even gifts every Halloween. Thank you 🙂
