The promo montage reflects any given moment: birth, death, horror, beauty, mundane, heroic, strange and wonderful. If we were able to view everything at any given moment, we would see the seeming randomness of life. But as individuals we seek order. Until fairly recently we were only able to perceive our immediate surroundings and it was simple to assign order. With access to recorded history and information around the world, the order is more difficult to maintain. We filter the information to provide us with the order as we choose to perceive. Those filters fog our perception and can lead us astray from critical thinking.
I don’t get it, Hayley…..! Such random images have little place in my life, reflecting very few eras through which I’ve lived.
